A new community space has opened, designed with local people in mind, in Ferndale ward. It is expected to play host to art, films, sport and more as it reopens after a significant refurbishment.
The transformed ‘Stockwell Hall of Fame’ was officially reopened at a special event on Wednesday 15 May with local residents from Stockwell Park Estate and the Waltham Estate. Cllr Joshua Lindsey, Cllr Jess Leigh and Cllr Irfan Mohammed were joined by Cllr Paul Gadsby, Cabinet Member for Housing, to help open the space.
The space has been in use for 40 years and it is hoped that the new space will be used by the whole community in Ferndale, particularly local children on the estate.
